Blue Keyboard

Have a problem with an HP keyboard when you suddenly have the blue keyboard active? Right-click the keyboard icon (bottom right of screen), Settings, Advanced Settings, remove or change the settings for ‘English to French’. Now you can use CTL-Shift-L for bullets in Word without switching to French. Always use the US English keyboard….Unless you want to type in French.

Try CTL-ALT-E for €. Works in Word, Twitter not so much.

Getting to a meeting on time in Toronto

  1. My phone usually works. Avoid the meeting and call
  2. Hydro works more often than not. Schedule an internet meeting/call. My favorite
  3. If you drive add an extra min per km for construction delays. I am an optimist
  4. Take the 407
  5. If you take the TTC: Don’t use it if is too wet (flooding of subway stations) or too cold (freezing of something or other, including yourself while waiting for the bus). Try to reschedule meeting anywhere along 407 or in the summer

  • Not all that helpful if all you are looking for is to pass 70-461, but great for learning SQL basics and a little more than basics

Yes, everybody loves it including myself, but it is not enough. Very good read with lots of exam test questions good examples and a sense of humor.

Has all kinds of information that you need, and lot’s that you do not, but is nice to have.

  • Most important: Read the question. Read the question. Read the question
  • You may think their answer of “BEST” is incorrect, but they are still right
  • Knowledge and passing the exam are only somewhat related
  • At almost $ 300 for the exam, it pays to pay a little just to prepare for the questions
  • At my test center cheating security seemed tighter than airport security. I even surrendered my kleenex
  • Last not least. It helps if you have some actual experience

    • feels like only 1/2 of book is there, other 1/2 missing
    • not everything in questions is covered in text
    • some inconsistencies in answers (same question, different answer)
    • still useful for exam and some general understanding
    • pricy

    • somewhat outdated
    • inconsistent answers, had to google correct answer
    • lots of squinting for answer keys
    • and still, it helped and only $ 10
